Our Company History

The owners of Geo Dynamics NextEnergy are also the same owners of Clapp & Jackson Plumbing & Heating Ltd. and share the same building which is located in the industrial park at 13 MacSteven Drive in beautiful Picton, (Prince Edward County).

Clapp & Jackson Plumbing & Heating was established in 1948 by Randy Clapp & Ron Jackson. The business changed ownership a few times and was eventually purchased by Nancy Kowacz in 2003, which at the time had three technicians.

Barry Kowacz joined his wife in the business in 2006 with aspirations to start up a Geothermal division to add to the business. Barry had experience with Geothermal installations back in the late 80’s, but the systems being installed at that time are in no comparison to NextEnergy Climate Master Geothermal Systems of today.

Between 2007-2009, Clapp & Jackson installed over 200 Next Energy Geothermal Systems being horizontal, vertically drilled or pond/lake loops. Clapp & Jackson has installed other manufacturer Geothermal product, but none compare to the quality and support that we receive from NextEnergy. Included with the support we receive from NextEnergy is an industry leading warranty program that rises far above any other manufacturer. In realizing this and because of the uniqueness and knowledge needed to specialize in Geothermal Systems, in 2010 Clapp & Jackson split out the Geothermal part of their business and started up a partnership with NextEnergy and named the company Geo Dynamics NextEnergy. This new, but knowledgeable company has more trained, licensed Canadian GeoExchange Coalition (CGC) accredited technicians than any other in the area.

Barry is a CGC accredited designer/installer. Geo Dynamics NextEnergy also has one other employee with the same credentials along with three more CGC accredited installers. Our salesman, Andrew Bonham is also a certified residential designer and is a RHLG (Residential Heat Loss/Gain Designer) which means he is licensed to do heat loss/gain calculations. This is a very important step in the process in sizing of the equipment for each individual home. Along with all of these accredited technicians, Geo Dynamics NextEnergy has highly experienced sheet metal mechanics to perform the necessary changes to the ductwork for retrofits or install new duct runs, which ever the case may be.

Barry manages the entire commercial side of the business, while Nancy manages the office and takes care of customer service. They both work along side the service manager in order to get the installations scheduled in and installed as quickly as possible. Along with the service manager, the company also has three other exceptional support staff in the office. Barry and Nancy both feel that “going green” is a very important step to help out with the environment issues for future generations and are very pleased to have some of their family on board this company to pass on this “green energy” way of thinking.

With the many well trained CGC accredited technicians, experience with numerous installations, experienced sheet metal mechanics, exceptional office staff, partnered with NextEnergy and their product, we are sure that Geo Dynamics NextEnergy is the team you want and need to install your Geothermal System.
